The buzz around Tinseltown is that none other than Jamie Foxx will get the lead as Mike Tyson in the new Martin Scorsese biography.

Although official announcements are yet to be made, Jamie has told Power 106’s The Breakfast Club radio show listeners that he had been cast as Tyson .

“I just went in with Paramount with Mike Tyson,” Jamie stated. “So I’m going to do the Mike Tyson story. Listen, to be in the same room pitching Mike Tyson to Paramount, Mike Tyson is on one side, I’m on the other side and doing Mike Tyson at the same time. And Martin Scorsese at the helm. This will be the first boxing movie that Martin Scorsese has done since Raging Bull.”

Martin’s most recent directorial hits include The Wolf of Wall Street and Hugo; however, let’s not forget that he directed Goodfellas, Shutter Island, and The Departed. Jamie has made a several big movies of his own as of late, including roles in Annie, Horrible Bosses 2, and Django Unchained.
